“Beyond the grace of the flow, the depth of the breath & the joy of practicing with intent, it is the soul connection one can experience on your mat that is the true essence of yoga for me.

It is from that connection that I teach. I am humbled and amazed on a daily basis at how taking a simple step onto the four corners of a mat can transform your life. How the practice of yoga can create a deeper understanding of who you are. These elements fuel my passion for my own practice and continue to drive my deep seeded desire to teach yoga.

After spending many years abroad travelling the world with the additional delight of practicing yoga in various exotic locations, such as Fiji, Borneo, Bali, Malaysia & Palau to name but a few. It was not until my return home to our shores of Cape Town that I completed a 200hr Vinyasa Teacher Training in 2011 and started a very different adventure, that of teaching.  Having worked as a navigator of the seas and a professional photographer, I enthusiastically combine breath, flow, movement and creativity in the design of my classes. Delighting in the art form of moving meditation.

I have also completed a 200hr Forrest Yoga Teacher training in Chicago, USA. I resonate deeply with this style of  yoga as it encourages, strength, character, truth and a deeper connection to Spirit, both on and off the mat.

I continue to be a student of this ancient practice, learning as much as I can from various teachers of yoga and life. Such an exciting journey!

It is said that the purpose of life is to discover your gift. The meaning of life is to give it away. I have found my gift!”
